We produced a report that accounts for the current state of abortion in Mexico, and updated other publications that address the progress and challenges in accessing this health service. We collaborated with organizations from Latin America to bring the arguments used in the abortion decriminalization processes in three countries in the region closer to the public.

Motherhood or Punishment. Toward the Decriminalization of Abortion in Mexico. It presents the regulatory evolution of abortion, as well as the challenges that persist due to criminalization, and shows how its criminal regulation perpetuates structural violence, persecution, and unjustified interference in the life plans of those who have abortions. It also seeks to demonstrate that access to this service is a matter of public health and social justice. This report reached more than one million people.

Ideas to Advance in the Legalization of Abortion. We collaborated in the development of this digital tool created by the Colombian organization La Mesa por la Vida y la Salud de las Mujeres (The Table for Women’s Lives and Health, in English). It compiles 259 arguments used in regulatory change processes around abortion in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico. This initiative seeks to contribute to the consultation, dissemination, and informational support of arguments used in legislative, judicial, and social debates.

Abortion Origami. We strengthened and updated our feminist digital library with the incorporation of The Advance of the Green Wave in Mexico, a section that describes the emergence of the movement in Argentina and its expansion in Mexico through the processes of abortion We highlight the Allies and Collectives Directory section, which since its launch in 2024 has managed to include 126 organizations and collectives that support abortion processes in their localities.

Step by Step: The Court’s Rulings on Abortion, second edition. In this new version we include the rulings the National Supreme Court issued after 2023 that are the result of our national legal strategy against the absolute criminalization of abortion. This publication reached more than 130,000 people.
